About this role

<p><b>Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS</b>) is seeking a <b>Mid-level NDT Quality Test Specialist </b>for the Boeing Exploration Launch Systems program supporting production of the NASA SLS Core Stage. This position is located at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in <b>New Orleans, Louisiana.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment</li><li>Develops procedures and processes. Performs tests or inspections and collects data</li><li>Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations</li><li>Provides feedback on adverse trends</li><li>Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products</li><li>Conducts certification preparation training</li></ul><p></p><p>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.</p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Current Radiographic NDE Certification (Level 2)</li><li>Current Radiation Safety State Card or ASNT IRRSP</li><li>3+ years of experience with Film or Digital Radiography processes</li><li>5+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)</li><li>1+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):</b></p><ul><li>3+ years of experience using Film or digital x-ray for Orbital Tube Weld Inspection.</li><li>Current Penetrant NDE Certification (Level 2).</li><li>Current Eddy Current NDE Certification (Level 2)</li><li>Current Ultrasonic NDE Certification (Level 2)</li><li>Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p></p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
