<p>Tapestry Solutions, a Boeing Company, is seeking an experienced On-Site System Administrator for the Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) program. This position will be located at Scott Air Force Base, IL. ICODES is a fully integrated information system that provides multi-modal load planning capabilities to Department of Defense (DOD) Agencies and Services. The combined functionality of ship, air, truck, rail, and yard planning services provides commanders, planners, and operators with a single platform capable of producing and evaluating load plans and alternative actions for various sized units, employing various modes of transportation, in support of peacetime or wartime operations. ICODES consumes cargo and passenger information from a variety of DOD manifesting systems and, in return, provides load planning, report generation, and forecasting services to USTRANSCOM and its component commands, DOD customers, and other authorized users. </p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) System Administrator</li><li>Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.</li><li>Answering technical queries.</li><li>Database supervision and monitoring.</li><li>Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.</li><li>Ensuring that virus protection software is up-to-date.</li><li>Evaluating and integrating new technologies.</li><li>Hardware installation, maintenance, and upgrading.</li><li>Hardware, network and software documentation.</li><li>IT staff training and support.</li><li>Managing user and privileged accounts.</li><li>Monitoring the network infrastructure.</li><li>Performing backups and restores as needed.</li><li>Performing routine audits of systems and software.</li><li>Research and troubleshooting.</li><li>Routine network administration and maintenance.</li><li>Software installation, maintenance, and upgrading.</li><li>System performance tuning.</li><li>Responsibility for security.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>This position requires an activeSecret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)</b></p><p></p><p><b><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></b></p><ul><li>Current CompTIA Security+ Certification</li><li>System Administration experience on Linux/Unix or Windows platforms</li><li>3+ years of experience with networking communications standards, IP Networking, and protocols (e.g. Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Secure Transport Protocol (SCP), Extensible Mark-up Language (XML)</li><li>3+ years of experience working with or supporting Windows Server 2008 or greater</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): </b></p><ul><li>1+ years of hands-on experience supporting and/or working on any computing infrastructure and/or cloud related technology or solution</li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Typically Education/Experience: </b></b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p></p><p><b><b>Relocation:</b></b></p><p>This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.</p><p></p><p><b><b>Drug Free Workplace:</b></b></p><p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. </p><p></p><p>All information provided will be checked and may be verified.</p><p>Please apply ASAP for this role as recruitment may commence before the end date.</p>
