<p>We are seeking a talented <strong>Fixed Network Operator (FNO) - Radio Operator</strong> to join the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) team. DHFCS is a world leading High Frequency Communications Network operated on behalf of Defence, connecting the war fighter in the field with command elements. The Fixed Network Operator is required to operate HF Communications equipment using Communications, Information and Security Systems procedures in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), Work Instructions and ADF Doctrine as directed by the Australian Defence Force Officer-In- Charge (OIC).The role is based in Canberra and requires regular shiftwork consisting of both day and night shifts.</p> <p><strong>Security Clearance</strong></p> <p>You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (NV2). Therefore, you MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and MUST have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the <strong>Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul><li>Operate and engineer DHFCS communications links.</li><li>Provide Defence customers with situational awareness and updates on system and unit status.</li><li>Follow Defence doctrine and operating procedures to maintaining security.</li></ul> <p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p> <ul><li>Experience as a Defence communications Operator, or in a similar field.</li><li>Knowledge of High Frequency communications and communications systems.</li><li>Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.</li><li>Customer service experience.</li></ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong></p> <p>Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.
