No Defence industry experience necessary. If you haven't considered a job with us, there has never been a better time to start.</p> <p>An opportunity exists for Mid to Senior level Test and Evaluation Engineers with a Software Verification and Validation background to become part of the BDA Engineering Team. As an experienced test and integration specialist you will play a key role in supporting the development of new Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) capabilities and specifically, projects within the Ground Systems capability. </p> <p>This opportunity is based in <strong>Newcastle NSW</strong> (RAAF Williamtown) for technical specialists and degree qualified personnel to join the rapidly growing Development and Verification team.</p> <p>As a BDA employee, you will join other innovative, ethical people who have the critical skills required to develop and deliver world class capabilities and systems to protect Australia and its national interests. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>You will be working with ground based simulators, verification and test environments and other software centric simulation systems supporting the AEW&C E-7 Wedgetail program. This position is a hands-on role working in a dynamic test team developing verification and validation events, performing verification activities in a test lab environment, and documenting program executed results.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p> <p>We want passionate and talented candidates with verification experience in software, hardware, and systems integration to join our team. </p> <p>To be successful you will have:<strong> </strong></p> <ul><li>Relevant technical/trade or degree qualification with experience in fault finding in a technical test or operational systems environment</li><li>Experience with software centric test, integration and evaluation processes on complex manufacturing or advanced technology projects</li><li>Track record with the preparation and implementation of formal test plans and test procedures</li><li>Experience initiating engineering activities to demonstrate compliance with operational guidelines or system requirements</li><li>Experience performing and documenting verification activities including analysis, design, development and operations</li><li>Experience in testing systems using a defined methodology (Desirable)</li><li>Test or QA experience in complex operational systems, simulator, or training environments (Desirable)</li><li>Operational working knowledge of the AEW&C E-7A, or previous testing experience on various non-related electronic platforms (Desirable) </li><li>Experience in using the Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) for requirements management (Desirable)</li><li>Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.</li></ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Culture</strong></p> <p>At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place.
