<p>The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an <b>Experienced System Administrator </b>to join the Maritime Undersea (MU) team. This position is located at the <b>Herndon, Virgini</b><b>a</b> site. The position will require providing engineering support, sustainment, operations, and maintenance for our developmental environment and infrastructure for the HardwareWall Cross Domain Solution and the Twister data framework. The successful candidate will provide technical support and problem resolution to existing development infrastructure. Additionally, the individual will need to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of agile development team. Must possess exceptional communication skills, both oral and written; technical leadership skills desired. The HardwareWall product is critical to the success of the Advanced Mission Solutions portfolio which primarily supports national security missions for many Department of Defense and Intelligence Community agencies. </p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Maintain server room infrastructure and all equipment needed for HWW product development but could include other platforms in the portfolio</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot and resolve network or server equipment issues such as VPN access to the</p></li><li><p>Assist development team with developers with laptop software such as virtual machine setup</p></li><li><p>Maintain all development test servers used for daily software integration and nightly builds.Includes maintaining system package updates and security patching.Maintain system package repositories for the development environment</p></li><li><p>Install new equipment for HWW testing and integration into the development environment as needed</p></li><li><p>Provide installation and integration support for HWW software versions and testing</p></li><li><p>Manage remote access to server room consoles</p></li><li><p>Manage server network patch panels for server access within the office on the development network</p></li><li><p>System administration work and maintenance on internal software suite VTiger</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).</b></p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>3+ years experience with Linux Systems Administration</p></li><li><p>2+ years experience with computing administration to deploy and maintain server infrastructure</p></li><li><p>1+ years experience with VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, Fusion</p></li><li><p>2+ years experience with network routers and switches</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or higher</p></li><li><p>3+ years experience in systems deployment</p></li><li><p>Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)</p></li><li><p>Installation/setup/maintenance of Jenkins automation server</p></li><li><p>Experience in Perl, Bash scripting (Linux), Python, VirtualBox, VMware, C++, Kerberos, OpenVPN</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education & Experience:</b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p></p><p><b>Relocation:</b><br />This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.</p><p></p><p><b>Drug Free Workplace:</b></p><p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.</p><p></p>
