<p>The Boeing Company is seeking an experience project engineer to joint team at Starfire Optical Range, Kirtland AFB, NM leading projects to advance capabilities in Space Domain Awareness Applications.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Provides the Engineering leadership to a multi-disciplined team with expertise in optics, mechanical design, SW development, firmware, electronics and controls.</li><li>Works with customers and management to obtain approval</li><li>Identifies and manages changes to projects and assesses the impact of those changes, and incorporates changes into project schedule.</li><li>Leads project execution to complete the work statement.</li><li>Plans, identifies and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program.</li><li>Assigns responsibility for activities to team members and ensures technical correctness and consistency of products and services.</li><li>Assists leadership with proposal development.</li><li>Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.</li><li>Identifies corrective actions to improve project or team performance.</li><li>Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.</li><li>Works under consultative direction.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>This position requires a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)</b></p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field</li><li>Experience leading technical teams</li><li>Experience working with Military or DoD customers</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, resource load charts) .</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><ul><li>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
