<p><b><b>Entry Level Industrial Engineer </b></b></p><p></p><p>TheBoeing Composites Center of Excellenceteam is seeking an<b>Entry Level Industrial Engineer </b>to join the team in<b>Ridley Park, PA</b>. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. Currently, Boeing Defense, Space and Security (Philadelphia Vertical Lift Division) produces 2 major platforms (V22 Osprey and H47 Chinook) supporting US Military and Foreign Military Operations.</p><p></p><p>This Division has a Composites Fabrication Center that produces H47 Rotor Blades, Flight Control Surfaces for the F18, as well as complex composite parts for both the V22 and H47 aircraft. If youre up for a challenge, join us and you can build something better for yourself, for our customers, and for the world.</p><p></p><p><b><b>Position Responsibilities</b></b></p><ul><li>Applies basic Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations.</li><li>Develops models, data bases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, engineering economics), and provide summary analysis and metrics as directed by higher level employees for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers).</li><li>Applies basic industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product and process design teams throughout all phases of product lifecycle, resulting in a robust product design and work statement that meets program requirements.</li><li>Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes as directed to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.</li><li>Utilizes engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to assist in developing optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and validation of products.</li><li>Analyzes and supports the design of the value stream, including capability, capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier performance), throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout).</li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.</b></b></p><p></p><p><b><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): </b></b></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Industrial Engineering.</li><li>Less than 1 year of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.</li><li>Less than 1 year of experience in the use of Microsoft Excel to gather, format, and manipulate data using mathematical, accounting and organizational functions/formulas/macros within the tool for the purpose of performing both business related and technical analyses.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):</b></b></p><ul><li>Experience working on a development program with critical path and schedule risk assessment requirements.</li><li>Experience with rate and capacity planning.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><p></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.</p><p></p><p><b><b>Relocation: </b></b></p><p></p><p>This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
