<p>Boeing Research and Technology (BR&T) is seeking a <b>Mid-Level Materials, Processes, and Physics Engineer (Level 3) </b>to join our team in <b>Huntsville, Alabama. </b></p><p></p><p>The individual in this role will provide Parts, Materials and Processes support for design and manufacture of the Space Launch System (SLS). Materials include metals, polymers, polymer matrix composites, coatings, adhesives, and sealants. Processes include adhesive bonding, welding, installation of mechanical fasteners, application of coatings and sealants.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Drawing and document reviews, per the daily Drawing & Document Dashboard file</p></li><li><p>Reviews of supplier manufacturing plans (welding, forging, other forming methods, and things requiring a first article cut up)</p></li><li><p>Specification revision reviews</p></li><li><p>Other tasks including non-conformances, Boeing shop issues, Supplier Information Requests, questions on which standard note best fits a new and peculiar situation</p></li><li><p>Tooling design reviews with vendors</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. </b></p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry</p></li><li><p>5+ years of experience with materials and processes engineering</p></li><li><p>Experience with materials and processes (M&P) drawing reviews</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Engineering</p></li><li><p>M&P (materials and processes) specifications</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b> </p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.</p><p></p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
