<p>The Boeing Company is seeking an <b>Associate</b> <b>Resource Controller - System Administrator</b>to join Boeings Space and Launch Division located in our northern VA location.The candidate will assist in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. They will provide support for the design, validation and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems. The candidate will also perform system monitoring and backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability and administer users system access to meet security requirements and performs problem resolution as appropriate.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Conduct Tier 1 Maintenance and Monitoring of local, remote, and virtual system resources</li><li>Configure hardware and software resources to ensure availability</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve problems following defined procedures</li><li>Escalate issues as required</li><li>System file transfers</li><li>Document System Discrepancies</li><li>Identify and Propose opportunities for system improvement</li><li>User Account Administration</li><li>Oracle Directory Service Control Center</li><li>Environmental Monitoring</li></ul><p></p><p><b>This position requires an activeTop SecretU.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)</b></p><p></p><p><b>Candidates need to be available to work rotating shifts in a 24x7 operations team environment.</b></p><p></p><p><b>BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Able to work 24x7 rotating shifts</li><li>Entry-Level LINUX/Windows system administration</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows</li><li>Veritas Operations Manage</li><li>Basic knowledge of networking concepts</li><li>Network Node Manager</li><li>Familiarity with the form and function of scripts</li><li>Basic knowledge of Systems Security</li><li>Basic knowledge of technical procedural writing</li><li>Strong leadership skills, professional team-oriented</li><li>Willingness and initiative to learn and teach</li><li>Communicate technical issues and impacts clearly</li><li>Ability to manage time and priorities</li><li>Understanding of FTP, LDAP, and File System Structures, LAN/WAN and VMware</li><li>HP Operations Manager</li><li>Data Center Health and Status</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education & Experience: </b><br />Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).</p><p></p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
