<p></p><p>Boeing is seeking a Quality Control/Assurance Specialist at our Sylmar, CA location, Spectrolab, Inc. As a member of the Quality Organization at Spectrolab you will be working with a dedicated team of quality professionals that take pride in their work and in supporting efforts to ensure our world class aerospace products conform to the high standards that we expect of ourselves and our customers expect of us as well.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Inspects solar cells, solar panels, searchlights and searchlight components for conformance to requirements</p></li><li><p>Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring of products and processes and provides customer feedback.</p></li><li><p>Applies standard inspection techniques for product verification including use of various inspection tools, microscope, eye loop, etc. and provides objective evidence of results.</p></li><li><p>Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification.</p></li><li><p>Prepares Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) books for Product Acceptance</p></li></ul><p></p><p>This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.</p><p></p><p>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)</p><ul><li><p>4 or more years of related Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment to include knowledge/proficiency with calipers, height and depth gauges, micrometers, microscopes, eye loops, and other measurement tools</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience performing quality processes such as parts testing, data collection and recording production/processing samples.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint</p></li><li><p>Willing and able to work 2nd shift position, beginning on 1st shift for training then transitioning to 2nd shift</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)</p><ul><li><p>Good communication skills to be able to articulate matters clearly both verbally and in writing</p></li><li><p>ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge and experience desired</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills</p></li><li><p>SAP</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Typical Education/Experience:</p><ul><li><p>Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).</p><p></p></li></ul><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
