<p><b>ATMS Senior Specialist</b></p> <p><b>Make a difference every day</b></p> <p>The Job Opportunity</p> <p>The main purpose of the role is to support the ATM Systems Operations Team Leader in the adaptation of all current and future dans ATM systems and participate in the process for adaptation change control. Lead and Supervise the staff in ATM Systems operations and report any concerns to the ATM Systems Operations Team Leader. Ensure that the ATM systems are compliant with approved regulatory publications and regulations and maintained, improved and updated as operationally required.</p> <p>Key accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure ATM Systems, in relation to Software and Adaptation is maintained, improved and updated in accordance to ATS operation requirements and AIRAC cycles compliant with ICAO Doc 9426 – Air Traffic Services Planning Manual, Part II, Section 3 C. 3& 4 and compliant with national regulatory publications and regulations</li> <li>Ensure that the faults, risks, software bugs, incidents, etc. in relation to ATM Systems, software and adaptation are captured and analysed on a regular basis from the various sources. Ensure any issues are Identified, consolidated, tagged, dealt with the most effective and efficient manner and ensure contingency plans are in place.</li> <li>Determine whether the root-causes were a System error or limitation, lack of knowledge or procedural issue and rectified and mitigated by taking the corrective measures as to the best way forward, within a defined time period. Ensure this does not impact the user workload in operations, by providing solutions, suggestions and recommendations to overcome them</li> <li>Obtaining a high level of knowledge, skill, awareness, currency and competencies related to ATC, ATSI and ATM Systems. Perform assigned work without supervision maintaining a detailed knowledge and extensive capability of providing training, consultancy and guidance with solving problem</li> <li>Enhance and develop the ATM Systems to include Simulators in accordance with the current and future requirements. Maintain any ATC and ATSI rating currency in accordance with the CARs and unit requirements/endorsement, ATM Systems competencies in accordance with the unit requirements</li> <li>Ensure as far as practicable that all components are tested and verified as one integrated entity, as being acceptable and meeting the requirements prior to implementation in the Simulation environment and all components are validated and operated as one integrated system in the simulation continuously without interruption and any single failure prior to implementation in the live Operational environment</li> </ul> <p>What we are looking for in our candidates:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Data preparation/Adaptation in ATM System</li> <li>Certified Instructor in ATM System</li> <li>Certified Operator in ATM System</li> <li>Qualified Air Traffic Control (Aerodrome, Approach Ratings, Examiner, Instructor or other suitable experience).</li> <li>Technical experience of ATM systems.</li> <li>Maintaining ATC and ATSI rating currency</li> </ul> <p>Specific requirements</p> <ul> <li>Experience in system architecture design for complex multiple system configurations.</li> <li>Multiple ATM systems development and adaptation experience in applied domains.</li> <li>ATM Simulator systems, both in adaptation and applied fields.</li> <li>Tower and Approach ATM systems and Operating practices in tower and approach control operations</li> <li>National standards and regulations in accordance with GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations.</li> <li>ICAO standards and recommended practices</li> </ul> <p>Working with Serco</p> <p>At Serco, not only is the nature of the work we do important, everyone has important role to play.  </p> <p><a href="https://www.serco.com/me" rel="no-follow">https://www.serco.com/me</a></p> <p>We are a team of 50,000 people responsible for delivering essential public services around the world in areas including defence, transport, justice, immigration, healthcare and citizen services.
