<img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YXNobGV5LmV3ZW4uMzcwMDUuNDI0QGZhc3RzdHJlYW0uYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif" rel="no-follow" /><br /><p>Goose Recruitment are currently seeking a Financial Accounting Assistant for one of prestigious clients based in Malta</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Maintaining accurate accounting records.</li><li>Assisting in the month end process leading to the submission of accurate monthly management accounts in a timely manner.</li><li>Responsible for the posting of invoices and journals in our accounting software tool.</li><li>Preparation and submitting of VAT returns on a timely basis.</li><li>Ensuring financial recording is in line with VAT legislation.</li><li>Perform reconciliations related to the Finance department.</li><li>Drafting of policies and procedures.</li><li>Preventive Controls and Review Controls.</li><li>Liaising with and supporting external auditors as may be required and assisting in the preparation of the financial statements.</li><li>Assist the Head of Finance in the budgeting process.</li><li>Coordinating with the Head of Finance in the implementation of new projects related to Finance.</li><li>Assisting the Head of Finance and the team with any ad-hoc requests.</li></ul><p>Desired skills and experience</p><ul><li>Currently studying for or holding a University degree in Accountancy or ACCA is a must for this role.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.</li><li>Previous experience working in Aviation industry will be preferred.</li><li>An ability to work to meet agreed deadlines.</li><li>Ability to take ownership of tasks on an individual and team basis, as applicable.</li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to establish effective relationships, both in the immediate team and wider business.</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to deal efficiently with different internal departments and external counterparts.</li><li>Competence in Excel, general IT and accounting packages.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.</li></ul><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Fun Team building activities</li><li>Travel Insurance</li><li>Personal Accident Insurance </li><li>Encouragement of innovation and support in personal and professional growth </li></ul>
