About this role
<p>Resource Group is currently looking on behalf of his client for SAR Captain Pilots AW 189 (Support Helicopter) to be based in Falkland Islands (on the Patagonia Shelf). This is a fantastic opportunity to operate in a truly unique and challenging environment with a stable roster pattern and long-term contract.</p> <p> </p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Maintaining familiarity with relevant United Kingdom air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.</li> <li>Maintaining familiarity and adherence to such provisions of the Company Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil his/her function.</li> <li>Observation, maintenance, and compliance of Company SOP’s</li> <li>Monitoring co-pilot handling, aircraft limitations, aircraft performance, fuel checks, navigation, terrain clearance and overall safe conduct of the flight.</li> <li>Maintaining a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the Company.</li> <li>Leading by active example, in the development and maintenance of high standards of professional expertise, discipline and morale.</li> </ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid CAA/EASA ATPL(H) (Essential)</li> <li>500 hrs UK SAR experience: (Essential)*</li> <li>NVIS experience (Essential)</li> <li>Valid AW189 or AW139 type rating (Desirable)</li> </ul> <p>*Consideration may be given to candidates without dedicated UK SAR but holding appropriate and equivalent flying experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>Benefits include:</p> <ul> <li>Job Security MoD contract</li> <li>Competitive salary (£95,151 per annum)</li> <li>33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)</li> <li>Free Employee Assistance Program</li> <li>Life Assurance (2.5 x Basic Salary)</li> <li>Workplace Auto Enrolment pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer of qualifying earnings)</li> <li>Occupational Sick Pay (12 weeks full pay / 12 weeks half pay)</li> <li>Loss of License Insurance</li> <li>Private Medical Cover</li> <li>Free travel to and from the Falkland Islands</li> <li>Food and Accommodation included in the Falkland Islands</li> </ul> <p><em>The successful candidate will need to comply with local Immigration Policies, Medical Requirements and Security Clearance Processes to obtain a relevant work permit in the locations the company has operations, if not a resident in the location.</em></p> <p> </p>
