About this role

<p>We are delighting to be representing our client with their search for a Head of Operation's and Safety. Our client is a busy regional and business airport situated in the South East of England with good proximity to both London & Birmingham.<br /> <br /> Reporting to the Operations Director (OD) the Head of Operations and Safety (HOS) is responsible for the safe and compliant day-to-day operation of the airport. This includes ensuring that the various airside departments are functioning in concert and in line with applicable regulations, policies and procedures in force.<br /> <br /> The Head of Operations & Safety will manage and facilitate a wide range of activities that ensures the safe and efficient operation for the tenants and customers of our client.</p> <p><br /> The Head of Operations and Safety is accountable for the development, overall day to day management and continuous improvement of the company safety management system at this busy airport and Heliport, ensuring compliance with applicable CAA regulations.</p> <p><br /> The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Operations Managerial role and will have an understanding of Airport operations , hazard identification, risk analysis and management.</p> <p><br /> The Head of Operations & Safety represents the airport in all aspects of operation, ensuring operational efficiency and safety in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.</p> <p><br /> This position does not allow for working from home and requires the ideal candidate to be onsite 5 days a week Monday to Friday with some operational flexibility.</p> <p>Role Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Right to live and work in the UK</li> <li>Experience working within an Operations Managerial role</li> <li>Proven problem solving, planning skills and proven ability to work under pressure</li> <li>Experience of NOTAM/AIP/ATIS</li> <li>Experience of an operational airfield including navigational aids on the airfield</li> <li>Highly organised and efficient</li> <li>Able to demonstrate an understanding of CAA regulations</li> </ul>
