Subject to fully meeting our requirements, we will facilitate your relocation.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Your role</strong><br /> Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and your principal role is to ensure the overall safety and efficiency of the flight department. You will be responsible for the performance and supervision of personnel in flight operations and dispatch, always in compliance with operating standards and regulations. This position also serves as the communication and coordination link between flight operations, the engineering team and all other departments in the company.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Your tasks</strong></p> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Work in close cooperation with upper management to define and structure the Flight Operations Department of our airline;</li> <li>Formulate and implement departmental plans, manuals and policies and ensure that flight operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and policies, notably related to flight safety and security;</li> <li>Ensure strict compliance of operational safety and security functions, and that operations are provided with necessary resources to execute tasks effectively;</li> <li>Coordinate permanently with the Maintenance Department to ascertain the operating status of our fleet and forecasted down-time periods;</li> <li>Coordinate with the Human Resource Department to ensure hiring and discharging of flight personnel as required;</li> <li>Establish personnel duty hours, respecting local labour laws and regulations;</li> <li>Update all Operations Manuals and appropriate revisions, as applicable;</li> <li>Identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost savings within Flight Operations.</li> <li>Report, file and follow-up on required operations reports and authorization requests;</li> <li>Coordinate scheduling, flight planning, dispatch/flight release, monitoring, and cancellation of all flights and exercise operational control over flight release;</li> <li>Act as ambassador for the company at key industry conferences, forums and working groups.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your profile</strong></p> <p>Ideally you:</p> <ul> <li>Have 10+ years strong management and leadership experience in Flight Operations;</li> <li>Have assumed commanding positions of A320-family aircraft over the last 10 years;</li> <li>Have comprehensive knowledge of civil aviation regulations, standards and recommended practices;</li> <li>Have experience working with cross-functional teams;</li> <li>Are self-motivated and focused on results with a proven ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, delegate effectively and meet deadlines.</li> <li>Display the highest level of integrity and are equipped with the initiative and curiosity to solve problems, a people and team-oriented individual and self-starter.</li> <li>Have superior written and verbal communications, decision making, problem-solving, and organizational skills essential;</li> <li>Are a proficient in the use of MS Office software</li> <li>Are fluent in English.
