About this role
<p><strong>The Irish Aviation Authority is a commercial semi-state Company responsible for the management of Irish controlled airspace, the safety regulation of Irish civil aviation and the oversight of civil aviation security in Ireland.</strong> </p> <p><strong>The Irish Aviation Authority is currently seeking to recruit experienced rated Air Traffic Controllers to work at Shannon Enroute ACC and at the Dublin and Cork Air Traffic Control Terminal Services Units. </strong></p> <p><strong>Applications are invited from Air Traffic Controllers who have experience working in a busy ANSP ACC, Tower or Terminal unit and who are available to commence training in October 2022 for an APS position in Cork, December 2022 for ACS positions in Shannon and Dublin, and January 2023 for an ADI position in Dublin.</strong></p> <p><strong>Applicants should hold:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>A valid Air Traffic Controller licence issued and endorsed in accordance with European Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340 or in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) Regulation 805/2011 or in accordance with Directive 2006/23/EC <u>AND</u></strong></li> <li><strong>Area Control Surveillance (ACS) rating with a minimum of 5 years’ experience exercising this rating (for Shannon and Dublin positions) <u>OR</u></strong></li> <li><strong>Aerodrome Control Instrument (ADI) rating with a minimum of 5 years’ experience exercising this rating (for Dublin position) <u>OR</u></strong></li> <li><strong>Approach Control Surveillance (APS) rating with a minimum of 5 years’ experience exercising this rating (for Cork position) <u>AND</u></strong></li> <li><strong>Hold (or achieve) a valid English Language Proficiency endorsement of at least operational Level 4 or above</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Please note that successful applicants will be required to obtain a Class 3 medical certificate and if required in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340 to successfully complete an assessment of previous competence prior to taking up position.</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary will be commensurate with experience and the positions are permanent. </strong></p> <p><strong>If you meet the criteria and are interested in applying, please register your interest by forwarding a Curriculum Vitae and a copy of your Air Traffic Controller licence by 5.30pm on 20 July 2022 to Ann Marie Ward, Employee Relations Manager, by e-mail to </strong><a href="mailto:annmarie.ward@iaa.ie" rel="no-follow"><strong>annmarie.ward@iaa.ie</strong></a></p> <p> </p>
