<p><strong>Mechanical System Installation Design Engineer (m/w/d) - HELICOPTERS</strong></p> <p>The "Installation Mechanical Equipment and Fuel System" department is part of Airbus Helicopters<br /> development department. The team is responsible for the development of components and assemblies for the installation of external mission equipment (outboard equipment) as well as for the installation of the fuel system. It serves the entire Airbus Helicopters product range, including civil and<br /> military helicopters, as well as research demonstrators, over the entire life cycle of the<br /> helicopter (development, prototype and series production, fleet support and retrofits).<br /> Mission equipment installation is done for a wide range of applications including<br /> Passenger transport, air rescue, public services (e.g. police), VIP transport and military<br /> missions. The department is set up transnationally, with employees at the Airbus Helicopters locations<br /> Marignane and Donauworth. Team members work together in modern agile project teams<br /> Colleagues from various specialist departments, including cell development, mission systems, electrical systems, as well as strength calculation. The teams also work with several<br /> subcontractors and global Airbus Helicopters subsidiaries.</p> <p>Development of outboard equipment installations on civil helicopters (H135 / H145 / new<br /> development projects).</p> <p>The job holder works as a <strong>Development Engineer / Mechanical System Installation<br /> Design Engineer (m/f/d)</strong> and takes on the following tasks:<br /> - Development of mechanical installations for outboard equipment:</p> <ul> <li>concept studies</li> <li>3D design in CATIA</li> <li>Creation and modification of construction documents</li> <li>Data management of design data in software such as SAP, Windchill, VPM</li> </ul> <p>- Creation of documents for approval, e.g. system description, FMECA, definition of<br /> Maintenance measures, test programs</p> <p><strong>Personal requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Willingness to work independently in an agile, international team</li> <li>Solution-oriented way of working</li> <li>Continuous Improvement</li> </ul> <p><br /> <strong>Educational requirements</strong><br /> Engineering at least Bachelor's degree<br /> or<br /> Aerospace at least Bachelor's degree</p> <p><br /> <strong>Required work experience</strong><br /> Development at least over 3 years</p> <p><br /> <strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business fluent English<br /> German an advantage</p> <p><br /> <strong>Other required qualifications</strong><br /> Experience with the development of mechanical components, preferably with the<br /> Software CATIA V5, ENOVIA VPM</p> <p>Experience with development processes from aviation and corresponding software tools,<br /> e.g. SAP, Windchill</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Legal</strong></p> <p>A valid EU passport is required (otherwise we will support and sponsor excellent candidates for a work permit).
