It provides air traffic control services from two control centres supporting airports all around the UK, as well as a wide range of commercial solutions to over 30 countries internationally. Our people are at the heart of our purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe.<br /><br /><strong>Job Purpose/Overview</strong><br /><br />We are currently recruiting experienced Area / En Route and Approach Air Traffic Controllers for positions at both of our centres based in Prestwick, Ayrshire and Swanwick in Hampshire.<br /><br /><strong>Other duties include:</strong><br /><br />We are looking for Area (ACS) rated controllers to join our teams in providing a safe and efficient area radar services across the London and Scottish FIRs. <br /><br />In addition to this, we are looking for Approach (APS) to provide approach radar services to various London Airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City from our site in Swanwick, Hampshire.<br /><br /><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Applicants will be required to hold, or obtain, a valid UK Area Control Surveillance (ACS) or Approach Control Surveillance (APS) ratings on which unit endorsements must be gained.</li><li>Applicants must be highly motivated, a strong team player with the ability to think laterally and remain calm under pressure.</li><li>All applicants must hold, or obtain, a UK Class 3 medical certificate.</li><li>ICAO English Language Proficiency Certificate at Level 5 or higher.</li><li>Successful applicants will be required to undertake criminal records check and provide a 5-year work reference history.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional vacancy information:</strong></p><ul><li>ATCO 2 salaries at Swanwick range between £64,272 - £117,237.</li><li>ATCO 2 salaries at Prestwick range between £61,825 - £104,106.</li><li>Assessment &amp; Selection - Candidates may be required to undertake a simulator assessment as well as an interview assessment.</li></ul><p><strong>Locations - Please specify within your application which location you are interested in applying for.</strong><br /><br />In addition to a competitive salary that's regularly reviewed, NATS offers an excellent range of benefits which includes a company performance related pay scheme, voluntary benefits and retail discounts, generous leave entitlement and a market-leading defined contribution pension scheme.
