About this role
<p>The jobholder works as a Simulator Software Engineer (f/m/d) and has to do the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Software development including optimization and further development of existing subsystems of the PSTS Eurofighter training solution</li> <li>Performance of software design activities to enable the high-fidelity Eurofighter pilot training</li> <li>Interface implementation and harmonization with related subsystems, in particular the Weapon</li> <li>System Simulation of the Eurofighter and Image Generating Systems</li> <li>Support of the integration and testing activities at the simulation devices in close collaboration of other subject matter experts</li> <li>Contribution to all phases of the software development process from requirements engineering to subsystem qualification</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> Good communication skills with an ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment<br /> Competence to work both independently and collaboratively in a team<br /> Ability to respond to changes in activities and priorities</p> <p><strong><em>Severely disabled people will preferably be considered with equal suitability.</em></strong><br /> <br /> Educational requirements<br /> Informatics at least a Master’s/Diploma/Bachelor degree<br /> or<br /> Engineering at least Master's/Diploma/Bachelor degree</p> <p><br /> <strong>IT</strong><br /> MS Office at least knowledge of detailed functions<br /> Very good knowledge with C, C++, ADA 95, Python and/or Perl</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business level fluent English<br /> German knowledge is nice to have</p> <p><strong>Required work experience</strong><br /> Good experience in Systems Engineering and Military real-time simulations systems is necessary<br /> Good knowledge of system integration processes is required<br /> Experience with V-Model based Software Development process is a must</p> <p><br /> <strong>Required knowledge</strong><br /> Distinct knowledge in Litening III LDP and RecceLite, Related EF aircraft avionics and LDP<br /> interfacing and Interfacing to Image Generators using either CIGI or proprietary interfaces</p>
