About this role

<p>At the Airbus Helicopters site in Donauwörth, the engineering team gets energetic<br /> Support wanted as <strong>Advanced Stress Engineer (m/f/d) in the field of research projects.</strong></p> <p>The cell statics is part of the Airbus Helicopters development and research area and draws<br /> responsible for a variety of issues affecting the strength, loads and crashworthiness of the<br /> helicopter airframe and mechanical equipment.</p> <p>The job holder works as <strong>Advanced Stress Engineer (m/f/d) - Research Project</strong>s and<br /> takes on the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Design calculations according to manual methods and with the help of FEM (linear and non-linear)</li> <li>Creation and release of verification reports for static strength and fatigue</li> <li>Creation of test programs and test orders as well as the supervision of the tests</li> <li>Proof of service life, inspection and maintenance intervals</li> <li>Structural analysis/strength calculations during the various development phases, from</li> <li>Concept up to the detailed construction, with the aim of an optimized design in terms of strength, durability, weight and cost.</li> <li>Support for approval processes, e.g. incorporation of the verification documentation into the</li> <li>Approval Database (Nectar)</li> <li>Processing of construction deviations including the definition of rework and repairs</li> <li>Handling customer service requests</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Organized and straightforward way of working</li> <li>Pragmatic way of thinking / approach to problems</li> <li>Work experience in an international and multicultural environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required qualifications</strong><br /> Engineering at least Masters / Diploma / Bachelor degree<br /> or<br /> Aerospace at least Master's / Diploma / Bachelor degree</p> <p><strong>IT</strong><br /> Python at least initial application knowledge<br /> MS Office at least knowledge of detailed functions<br /> Nastran at least knowledge of detailed functions</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business fluent German (if no German take on line crash course and we will negotiate your acceptance)<br /> Business fluent English</p> <p><strong>Required work experience</strong><br /> Several years of practical experience in the field of statics and fatigue in the aerospace industry<br /> space sector</p> <p><strong>Required other qualifications</strong><br /> Very good knowledge of pre-dimensioning and dimensioning of<br /> Subsystems/components (metal and composite materials)<br /> Experience in the verification and approval process of CS 27/29<br /> Mastery of standard manual methods (Niu, Bruhn, HSB, etc.)<br /> In-depth knowledge of lin./non-lin. FEM methods (Hyperworks, NASTRAN, Optistruct,)<br /> Experience in testing (coupon and unit tests)<br /> Good knowledge of general aircraft structural requirements (flight-landing fatigue loads, bird strikes, damage tolerance, etc.)<br /> Good knowledge of metals and composites (i.e. understanding of the relevant<br /> Dimensioning methodology, types of failure, the production process and its<br /> effects on the mechanical properties)</p>
