<p><strong> Job Title: Head of Training </strong></p><p><strong> Reports to: Chief Aviation Services Officer </strong></p><p><strong> Location: </strong> Shannon Airport, Shannon, Co. Clare</p><p>CAE Parc aviation are currently recruiting for a renowned aviation solution provider. T he company has a strong reputation of providing customers with a complete range of solutions including aircraft maintenance &amp; modifications, technical, engineering and design services, logistics and material solutions and international training.</p><p><strong> Job Purpose: </strong></p><p>As the Training Manager it will be your responsibility to provide support to the Accountable Manager in administration and office management.</p><p>You will be a point of contact to all members of staff regarding training.</p><p><strong> Essential Job Function: </strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be tasked with the following:</p><ul> <ul>Efficient operation and conformity to requirements stipulated by IAA.</ul> </ul> <p>Ensuring that sufficient staff with appropriate qualifications are selected, trained, and developed.</p><p>Informing the Accountable Manager/ CASO as to the state of compliance of the organization with Part-147.</p><p>Ensuring that all Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) are made available.</p><p>Ensuring that examiners, instructors, assessors and invigilators are fully trained and assessed regularly and that all records are kept up to date.</p><p>Availability of office accommodation and facilities are available to management of the planned training of staff.</p><p>To produce and update all student training notes and presentations for the aircraft types.</p><p>Responsible for the evaluation of technical training programmes to ensure they achieve organisational objectives and remain cost effective to deliver.</p><p>To carry out the annual training planning meeting and produce a training programme for the forthcoming year to meet the engineering and business requirements.</p><p>Assess training needs and source/develop suitable training courses to meet business need.</p><p>That all approved courses and examinations are delivered to the standard and the required level of knowledge, as specified in Part-147.</p><p>There are sufficient and secure storage facilities, tools, equipment, materials and publications available.</p><p>Student and staff records are produced and stored in secure conditions.</p><p>Corrective action is carried out for the findings of quality audits and the follow up is sufficient.</p><p>The security and validity of all examinations are in accordance with the requirements of Part-66 and Part-147.</p><p>Coordinate all examinations and assessment timetables.</p><p>Preparing, amending, editing and keeping records of the MTOE.</p><p><strong> Candidate Requirements: </strong></p><ul>At least 10 years' experience in a training environment and 5 years previous experience as a Training Manager leading large teams.</ul> <ul> <ul>Hold an aeronautical/ electrical or mechanical degree or,</ul> </ul> <p>Be a certified Part 66 licensed engineer or</p><p>Have evidence of previous employment as an aeronautical type training instructor/manager in a Part-147 environment</p><ul> <ul>Proficient knowledge of training systems and software.</ul> </ul> <p>Knowledge of aviation legislation and applicable regulations.</p><p>Ability to demonstrate a pro-active approach to business with a passion for continuous development and upskilling to keep abreast of best practices and next practice.</p><p>Ideally, experience gained in a progressive, commercially focused organisation with a strong culture of performance, innovation, and delivery.</p><p>Ability to travel as required.</p><p>Adaptable with excellent planning and organisational skills</p><p>Ability to cope with pressure and change</p><p>Ability to manage and lead with respect and encouragement - recognising key contributions and adhering to our employee orientated culture.</p><p>An ambitious, agile, and honest individual, committed to teamwork, and excellence.</p><p><strong> Company Benefits: </strong></p><ul> <ul>Healthcare contribution</ul> </ul> <p>Generous pension scheme</p><p>Support for professional career progression</p><p>Sick pay scheme</p><p>20 days annual leave plus 'Time in Lieu'</p><p>Refer a friend scheme</p><p>Subsidised canteen on-site</p><p>Employee discount at Shannon Airport</p><p><strong> Equal Employment Opportunity </strong></p><p>At CAE, everyone is welcome to contribute to our success.
