<p><strong>Propulsion System Development Engineer (f/m/d) - 3 positions</strong></p> <p>We have on offer, 3 x Propulsion System Development Engineer (f/m/d) positions, with our customer Airbus Defence and Space (AIR MAS) located at  Manching, South Germany. These are very exciting positions, working at a very high professional level of competence, and are suitable for applicants ready to step up to the next level, and possibly with an interest in winter sports. </p> <p>The jobholder works as a Propulsion System Development Engineer (f/m/d) and the main tasks are:</p> <ul> <li>Integration of propulsion systems into aircraft, in particular specification, qualification and certification with respect to requirements, safety and reliability and according to the Airbus Defense and Space development processes:</li> <li>Derivation of requirements, definition of concept and system architecture</li> <li>Development of system and equipment specifications</li> <li>Definition, monitoring and analysis of ground and flight tests</li> <li>Development of qualification programs, support to certification</li> <li>Preparation of certification and clearance documentation</li> <li>Control of interfaces to other systems and functions</li> <li>Build line support with respect to system queries/issues/waivers</li> <li>Support to system health management activities</li> <li>In-service support for the respective systems and equipment:</li> <li>Technical support to defect or problem investigations (root cause analysis, development of problem solutions and modifications)</li> <li> Preparation of certification and clearance documentation</li> <li>Technical support to modification processes</li> <li>Technical management of system or component manufacturers and/or suppliers during development and in service support</li> <li>Solving thermo- and fluid dynamical as well as mechanical engineering tasks and problems:</li> <li>Performing system analyzes with respect to performance, dynamic behavior, operation, control, etc.,</li> <li>using handbook methods, simulation tools, etc.</li> <li>Design, coding and maintenance of computer programs for synthesis and performance analysis of existing and/or future propulsion systems</li> <li>Continuous monitoring of available technologies and identification of technology gaps</li> <li>Managing interfaces to related technical departments and functions (e.g. program management, procurement, technical publications, technology management)</li> <li>Supporting system engineers at team level</li> <li>Cooperation and coordination with internal, external, national and international subcontractors, suppliers, customers and partner companies</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Excellent planning and organizational skills and fast comprehension</li> <li>Good ability to interact and communicate with international subcontractors, suppliers, customers and partner companies</li> <li>Ability to work in an international team</li> <li>Self-reliant and systematic and stress-resistant personality</li> <li>Being prepared for worldwide business travel</li> </ol> <p><em><strong>Severely disabled applicants are given special status if they are equally qualified considered.</strong></em><br /> <br /> <strong>Required educational Studies</strong><br /> Aerospace at least Master's / Diploma degree</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> German would be an advantage<br /> Business fluent English</p> <p><strong>Required work experience</strong><br /> Profound knowledge in the area of propulsion systems:</p> <ul> <li>Detailed knowledge of aviation engine technologies, engine performance, thermodynamics cycles, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, as well as engine operational behavior and control is mandatory</li> <li>Knowledge of flight / mission control systems, health monitoring systems, MRO, air vehicle mission analysis and performance is required</li> <li>Good knowledge of air vehicle general systems and system architectures is a must</li> <li>Profound knowledge of and experience in equipment and system engineering is mandatory</li> <li>Solid experience in the area of (military) aerospace specific development, qualification and certification processes would be a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>IT</strong><br /> Experience with system modeling & simulation tools, management tools (e.g. DOORS) and software coding tools (FORTRAN, MATLAB/Simulink e.g.) would be a plus</p> <p><strong>Legal.</strong> EU or NATO country passport required<br />  </p>
