<p><strong><u>Landing Gear System Development Engineer (f/m/d)</u></strong></p> <p>Great and rare opportunity with Airbus Defence and Space (AIR MAS) located in Manching. This contract would be ideal for someone wishing to step up to the next level with Airbus, pay reduced energy bills with a interest in winter sports.</p> <p>The jobholder works as a Landing Gear System Development Engineer (f/m/d) and is responsible for<br /> supporting the development of the Eurodrone Unmanned Air System (UAS) Landing Gear System<br /> (LGS). The post-specific activities include:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluation of design solutions to meet current and future program requirements, assessment of proposed design performance/risk and the selection of optimal solutions from both a technical and project/program perspective</li> <li>Supporting LGS integration through maturation of system/sub-system interface documents Landing Gear system/sub-system Qualification and Certification (Q&C) activities to deliver future MAS and in-service modifications/repairs, including qualification planning, oversight and evaluation of evidence</li> <li>Definition and overview of Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including physical test and modelling/simulation campaigns in support to Landing Gear system/sub-system Compliance Verification.</li> <li>Assess T&E plans/procedures and improve/amend where required System and sub-system level requirements management and generation of system/sub-system level</li> <li>Specifications for the Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tire and Brake as required by the programme Project control activities, including the generation and maturation of project plans and schedules Coordination of internal/external stakeholders and monitoring the delivery of subcontracted work packages to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality Support to legacy military types as required, including the progression of: Operator Queries, LGS Defect Reports, Problem Investigations and Operational Occurrence Reports</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> A reliable, flexible and prudent working style<br /> Willingness to interact empathetically in a small team</p> <p><br /> <em><strong>Severely disabled applicants are given special status if they are equally qualified taken into account.</strong></em><br /> <br /> <strong>Required studies</strong><br /> Aerospace at least Bachelor's degree<br /> or<br /> Mechanical engineering at least a bachelor's degree</p> <p><strong>Required work experience</strong><br /> IT / information systems at least over 3 years<br /> Aerospace at least over 3 years<br /> Ideally experience in Landing Gear System Development</p> <p><br /> <strong>IT</strong><br /> MS Office at least detailed. special skills<br /> Experience in DOORS is preferable</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business fluent English<br /> German knowledge is nice to have<br />  </p> <p><strong>Legal:</strong> EU or NATO country passport is mandatory</p>
