<p><u><strong>System Engineer - Flight Management Systems (f/m/d)</strong></u></p> <p>We have on offer a lucrative contract working with Airbus Defence and Space (AIR MAS), located in Manching South Germany. This represents a great opportunity for suitably qualified candidates to step up to the next level with Airbus, and to enjoy near by winter sports.</p> <p>The jobholder works as a System Engineer - Flight Management Systems (f/m/d) and the main tasks are:</p> <ul> <li>Requirements capturing and analysis for military and civil Flight Management Systems and Flight guidance</li> <li>Flight Management Systems concept and architecture engineering activities Design and development of FMS and automation functions to support integration of RPAS in general airspace</li> <li>Design and development of Flight Guidance functions</li> <li>Management of suppliers and subcontractors</li> <li>Specifying and managing Verification & Validation activities, including laboratory, ground & flight test</li> <li>Support to standardization and certification activities with international regulatory bodies and agencies</li> <li>Contributing to in-service support</li> <li>Involvement in research activities</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> High degree of motivation<br /> Willingness to work in an international team and to travel</p> <p><br /> <strong><em>Severely disabled applicants are given special status if they are equally qualified taken into account.</em></strong><br /> <br /> Educational Studies<br /> Engineering at least Masters / Diploma / Bachelor degree<br /> or<br /> Aerospace at least Master's / Diploma / Bachelor degree</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business fluent English<br /> German knowledge is a plus</p> <p><strong>Required Experience</strong><br /> Experience in systems engineering is mandatory<br /> Experience in Flight Management Systems or similar is required<br /> Experience in UAV/RPAS (Unmanned Aircraft System/Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) would be a benefit</p> <p><strong>IT</strong><br /> Knowledge of design and simulation tools<br /> (Matlab/Simulink, SCADE) is required</p> <p><strong>Legal</strong>: EU or NATO passport mandatory</p>
