<p><u><strong>IT Engineer for Development Environments (f/m/d)</strong></u></p> <p>We have a great contract on offer with Airbus Defence and Space (AIR MAS) located at Manching, South Germany. Great opportunity for IT Engineers interested to work with AIrbus, and at the next level.</p> <p>The jobholder (f/m/d) works as an IT Engineer for Development Environments and the main tasks are:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades</li> <li>Maintains the infrastructure in operational condition in line with operational/service level</li> <li>Agreements (OLAs/SLAs)</li> <li>Monitors and tracks system performance against negotiated (SLAs)</li> <li>Communicates improvement, updates and obsolescence management of products to the responsible manager of the development environments.</li> <li>Provides support during agreed service hours</li> <li>Performs the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management</li> <li>Analyses console messages, diagnoses system failures and takes corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, escalating to other technical teams and vendors as needed</li> <li>Supervises system backup processing, and leads disaster recovery tests Identifies and implements technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment</li> <li>Development of software elements to ensure seamless working of tool chains</li> <li>Contributes to continuous improvement of the development environment and its tools</li> <li>Support patch management of operating system, drivers and application software w.r.t. to the development environment</li> <li>Support data import and export for the development teams</li> <li>Support the ITGA process</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> Strong communication skills to work with contacts at all levels and to maintain business relationships<br /> The ability of a person in a team to work on tasks together, to support one another and to be willing to compromise<br /> Independent, structured and results-oriented work, for fast and direct target achievement</p> <p><em><strong>Disabled applicants with equal qualifications will be given special consideration.</strong></em></p> <p><br /> <strong>Required Studies</strong><br /> Comparable qualifications, at least a bachelor's degree<br /> or<br /> University graduate in engineering, computer science or similar</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business fluent English<br /> Knowledge of German is desirable</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong><br /> 2 years' experience in software development / software maintenance</p> <p><strong>Required other qualifications</strong><br /> Experience with synthetic training aids (e.g. Eurofighter) recommended<br /> At ease with a multicultural environment<br /> </p> <p><strong>Legal:</strong> EU or NATO country passport required </p>
