<p>We are pleased to be supporting our client with their search for a Sheet Metal Technician.<br /> <br /> Our client has one of the most versatile air fleets in the business. Global dedicated cargo airline specialized in safe, reliable and efficient delivery of mail and express freight using BAE-ATP-F, Bombardier CRJ200PF, Boeing 737 and B767 Aircraft.<br /> <br /> Due to relocation to East Midlands, one of the UK and Europe’s biggest aviation cargo hubs as part of our clients expansion, we are now supporting them in their search for a Sheet Metal Technician.<br /> <br /> You will need to the right to live and work in the UK, Have an apprenticeship or equivalent training with a major OEM or MRO and be happy with a shift pattern which will include day and night shifts and be 1 week on 1 week off.<br /> <br /> <strong>Benefits Package:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary</li> <li>25 days annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays</li> <li>6 % contribution company pension scheme</li> <li>4 x salary death in service</li> </ul> <p><strong>Role Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Apprenticeship or equivalent training with a major OEM or MRO.</li> <li>National basic education qualifications in English and Math’s at Grade C or equivalent.</li> <li>Training in the use of shrinkers or English wheels would be an advantage.</li> <li>Proven ability to complete Major structural repairs on pressurized metal aircraft on both primary and secondary structure.</li> <li>Ability to interpret repair drawings and identify areas that require engineering changes when compared to actual aircraft structure.</li> <li>Ability to use and interpret the OEM structural repair manuals to identify a/c zones and stations. Identify repairs for damage found and locate material and alternate fasteners within these manuals.</li> <li>Must be able to use precision measuring instruments to accurately gauge damage limits.</li> <li>Proven hand skills with common sheet metal tools.</li> <li>Ability to form from plate material complex bends and shapes using common sheet metal handling tools including bending brakes, rollers, shrinkers.</li> <li>Ability to travel for AOG repairs.</li> <li>Must hold a valid UK driving license.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Process:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Initial Interview via Teams</li> <li>2nd Interview Face to Face</li> </ul>
