<p><u><b>Avionic Consultant Engineers (Embedded Developers / Software Engineers) - Southern SWEDEN</b></u><br /> <br /> We are looking for consultants (freelancers / subcontractors) or employees originating from EU countries and most NATO countries (no leases or workpackage-based arrangements).Whilst everyone is able to communicate in English, having knowledge of Swedish language would be extremely advantageous and appreciated by your co-workers.<br /> <br /> We are looking for people willing to work on customer premises, in the town of Huskvarna, Jönköping, Southern Sweden for extended periods of time (approximately one year at a time, although some flexibility is offered). The positions are full-time and open to any m/f/d, however as a diverse tech company we are striving to encourage applications from our female colleagues. You'll be working 40 hours a week although in certain circumstances fewer hours could be negotiated.<br /> <br /> The position mostly entails embedded programming using C, but there is a big component involving writing requirements and conducting verification (testing, scripting etc). Experience with real-time operating systems will be a big plus, or at least coding for Linux. Some of the platforms are multi-core, so understanding how to code for that is beneficial. Since we work in aviation, we must obey standards such as, most prominently, DO-178C, so a degree of familiarity with it will be more than welcome, as will be experience with DOORS (a requirements management system) and other tools common in the industry such as Dimensions or IFS. A knowledge of code and process handling tools such as Git or Jira are usually self-understood for such positions.<br /> <br /> We expect a senior candidate to have at least 3 to 5 years experience in the above, but are ready to onboard people of a more junior level, if circumstances feel promising.<br /> <br /> Nominally we welcome academic degrees, but I am in principle much more interested in relevant experience and knowledge than in diplomas.<br /> <br /> <strong>Start date</strong> – whenever possible, but weeks 28 to 32 are best avoided as too many people are away on holidays just then. Duration – we certainly aim for long-term collaborations, but to minimise risk for all parties are willing to discuss trials. In any case, there is no maximum duration attached to these positions.<br /> <br /> As for potential candidates, unless they are already physically close to us, we tend to have an initial Skype call just to establish common grounds, followed by an internal evaluation, and in the best case an invitation for a physical interview on our premises.<br /> <br /> If interested, please apply with your full CV, and a copy of your passport.</p>
