<p><strong><u>Structural Analysis Engineer (f/m/d) - STRESS ENGINEER - AIRBUS</u></strong></p> <p>We have a superb opportunity as a Structural Analysis Engineer (f/m/d) - STRESS ENGINEER with Airbus Defense and Space (AIR MAS) located at Manching, South Germany. Great opportunity for suitably qualified Stress Engineers to step up to the next level with Airbus (German language is not required).</p> <p><br /> Planned shortlist date 05/23/2023<br /> Planned start of operation Immediately<br /> <br /> <strong>Job description and tasks</strong><br /> The jobholder works as a Structural Analysis Engineer (f/m/d) and the main tasks are:</p> <ul> <li>Analysis of structural parts, components and installations made from metal and carbon fibre materials as well as integration of systems and equipment e.g. by means of FEM (generation, validation and assessment of results) and application of traditional justification methods and tools</li> <li>Trade off analysis for different design solutions and concepts</li> <li>Preparation of analysis reports and statements to support airframe qualification</li> <li>Assessment of damages and development of repairs for in-service A/C</li> <li>Support of the Design Office and Mechanical System installation</li> <li>Support to manufacturing and assembly lines and evaluation of concessions and deviations</li> <li>Communication to relevant stakeholders and adjacent departments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> Good interpersonal and communication skills<br /> Proactive attitude and willingness for teamwork with various interfaces to other disciplines</p> <p><em><strong>Disabled applicants with equal qualifications will be given special consideration.</strong></em><br /> <br /> <strong>Required Studies</strong><br /> Engineering at least Bachelor's degree<br /> or<br /> Aerospace at least Bachelor's degree</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong><br /> Aerospace at least over 3 years<br /> Work experience as an engineer in aircraft structural analysis is required<br /> Good knowledge of standard stress analysis methods (e.g. HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, Roark & Young) is needed<br /> Knowledge of design principles and manufacturing processes and materials (metals and fibre composite) is welcome</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> German will be of advantage<br /> Business fluent English</p> <p><br /> <strong>IT</strong><br /> Appropriate experience in the application of specific stress and fatigue analysis tools (e.g. Nastran, Hyperworks etc.) is a must have Solid skills in FE Modeling techniques including pre- and post-processing is needed<br /> </p> <p><strong>Legal:</strong> EU or Nato country passport required. For example, UK nationals can start immediately and we will organise the work permit</p>
