<p><u><strong>System Engineer (Autoflight) for fighter aircraft (f/m/d)</strong></u></p> <p>We have a superb contract available, for Systems Engineers (Autoflight), with Airbus Defense and Space (AIR MAS) located Manching South Germany. Great opportunity for suitably qualified specialists to step up to the next level with Airbus.</p> <p>Planned shortlist date 05/25/2023<br /> Planned start of operation Immediately<br /> Working hours full-time 35h / 152.25h</p> <p><br /> <strong>Job description and tasks</strong><br /> The department "Digital Flight Control Systems" at Airbus Defense & Space in Manching is in charge of<br /> the system design for flight control systems of fighter and unmanned aircraft. This includes the<br /> development of safety critical functions to be implemented on a flight control computer.<br /> The jobholder works as a System Engineer (Autoflight) for fighter aircraft (f/m/d) and the main tasks are:</p> <ul> <li>Analysis, definition and maintenance of A/C, System and Subsystem requirements</li> <li>Autoflight Moding and Control Law Design Specification</li> <li>Analysis, Assessment and Solution of System Problem Reports Clearance and Design Assessments:</li> </ul> <p>1. Real-time and non-real-time simulation (SIL)<br /> 2. Manned Simulator Assessments</p> <ul> <li>Definition and support for Autoflight Rig Tests (HIL)</li> <li>Definition and support for Autoflight Flight Tests</li> <li>Coordination with partner companies (BAES, Leonardo)</li> </ul> <p>Preparation of overall reports and resulting procedures and flight restrictions:<br /> 1. Generation of verification claims and their support through the verification process<br /> 2. Input to the Technical Publication department for Flight Manual changes<br /> 3. Support of the preparation of flight clearances under flight mechanical aspects<br /> 4. Alignment with project pilot on Autoflight specific limitations and pilot procedures</p> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> A self-motivated, proactive, follow-up and solution-oriented way of working<br /> Strong communication skills<br /> Technically affine<br /> Hands on mentality<br /> Ability and motivation to work in an international team (Team Spirit & Team Work)</p> <p><strong><em>Disabled applicants with equal qualifications will be given special consideration.</em></strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Studies</strong><br /> Aerospace at least Master's / Diploma degree<br /> linguistic proficiency<br /> Business fluent English<br /> German knowledge is an advantage</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong><br /> Experience and good understanding of:<br /> - Aircraft Dynamics and Flight Control Systems<br /> - Autoflight and Flight Control Laws<br /> - requirements engineering; (Model-Based Systems Engineering)<br /> - System design and development is necessary</p> <p><br /> <strong>IT</strong><br /> Handling of C, C++, Python and SCADE or comparable is required<br /> Experience with Matlab / Simulink, DOORS, Linux and FORTRAN is nice to have</p> <p>Legal: EU or Nato country passport. For example, UK specialists can start immediately, and we will organise teh work permit</p>
