<p><u><strong>Flight Control Design Engineer (f/m/d)</strong></u></p> <p>We have on offer a rare, and exiting position as Flight Control Design Engineer (f/m/d) with Airbus Defense and Space (AIRMAS), located in beautiful Manching, South Germany. Great opportunity for suitably qualified Flight Control Design Engineers to step up to the next level (command of German not required):</p> <p><br /> The jobholder works as a Flight Control Design Engineer (f/m/d) and the main tasks are:</p> <p>All work related to the flight control law design and assessment for manned and unmanned aircraft. This means in particular :</p> <ul> <li>Preparation of flight dynamics' models</li> <li>Linear feedback and command path design</li> <li>Non-linear and care-free handling design</li> <li>Unit testing of control law design elements</li> <li>Assessment of design solutions in time and frequency domains</li> <li>Performance of manned simulations</li> <li>Documentation of design solutions</li> <li>Documentation of assessment results</li> <li>Support to other departments in topics related with flight control laws (e.g. simulation or flight test)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> Prudent and reliable way of working<br /> Ability to work in a multicultural team</p> <p><br /> <em><strong>Disabled applicants with equal qualifications will be given special consideration.</strong></em></p> <p><br /> <strong>Required Studies</strong><br /> Aerospace at least Master's / Diploma / Bachelor degree</p> <p><strong>Required Experience</strong><br /> Design Engineer at least 2 years<br /> Engineering at least over 2 years<br /> Ideally first know-how in Flight Control, Flight Mechanics and Control Law Design</p> <p><strong>IT</strong><br /> Matlab at least knowledge of detailed functions<br /> Some experience in programming (preferably Fortran, C or Python)</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> Business fluent English<br /> German knowledge would be a plus<br /> </p> <p><strong>Legal</strong>: EU or NATO country passport required, Uk passport holders can start at once as we will sponsor you for a work permit</p>
