<p><u><strong>Aerodynamic Engineer - Dataset Team (d/m/f) - AIRBUS</strong></u><br /> <br /> <strong>Job description and tasks</strong><br /> Within the "Aerodynamics Domain", the job holder will be working in the "Aerodynamic Data" team, which<br /> is responsible for aerodynamic modelling (aerodynamic dataset) for handling qualities, loads and aircraft<br /> performance purposes.</p> <p><br /> The given tasks are performed by use of handbook methods, in-house programs, CFD<br /> (Computational Fluid Dynamics) calculations as well as by Analysis of wind tunnel and flight test<br /> results. The main activities will be related to analysis of aerodynamic wind tunnel and flight<br /> test data, modelisation of aerodynamic data and verification of aerodynamic databases.</p> <p>The job holder works as an Aerodynamic Engineer for Aero Dataset (f/m/d) and these are the main tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Analysis of CFD, aerodynamic wind tunnel and flight test data</li> <li>Modelling of aerodynamic data for Stability &amp; Control, Loads and Lift &amp; Drag datasets</li> <li>Verification and validation of aerodynamic databases</li> <li>In-house tools improvement, design, verification and validation</li> <li>Wind tunnel test requirements and test program preparation</li> <li>Flight test requirements preparation for flight data gathering</li> <li>CFD simulations, in support of aerodynamic data generation and verification</li> <li>Dataset tolerances definition</li> <li>Definition of corrections based on flight test data</li> <li>Support to wind tunnel test campaigns</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personnel requirements:</strong><br /> A distinct team player<br /> Excellent communication skills and a really good independent way of working<br /> Willingness and ability to take responsibility</p> <p><br /> <em><strong>Disabled applicants with equal qualifications will be given special consideration.</strong></em></p> <p><br /> <strong>Studies</strong><br /> Engineering at least Masters / Diploma /&nbsp; Bachelor degree<br /> or<br /> Aerospace at least Master's / Diploma / Bachelor degree<br /> or<br /> Aerodynamics</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong><br /> Engineering at least over 3 years<br /> IT / information systems at least over 3 years<br /> Aerospace at least over 3 years<br /> technical documentation for at least 3 years<br /> Experience in machine learning, aerodynamics and dataset creation is a plus</p> <p><strong>IT</strong><br /> Python at least knowledge of detailed functions<br /> MS Office at least detailed. special skills<br /> Matlab at least knowledge of detailed functions<br /> Knowledge of C/C++ is required</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> German would be of advantage<br /> Business fluent English<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>Legal: EU or Nato country passport required, for example, UK passports can start immediately - we will organise the work permit.</p>
