<p><u><strong>Artificial Intelligence Firmware Engineer (f/m/d)</strong></u></p> <p>We have on offer a great contract working with Airbus Defence and Space (AIR SAT) located at Taufkirchen, Germany. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to work with Airbus, and step up to the next level.</p> <p>The jobholder works as an Artificial Intelligence Firmware Engineer (f/m/d) and the main tasks are:</p> <ul> <li>Design, development and performance evaluation of neural network interference on board processors, in particular system-on-chips.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li> <li>Evaluation and deployment of different inference methods and tools for neural networks (compilers, autocoding, embedded software, FPGA design) depending on the project requirements.</li> <li>Hardware/Software optimization and implementation of payload data processing functions on processors (e.g. uC/uP, DSP, GPU, AI accelerators) and FPGA-based (e.g. MPSoC, RfSoC) platforms.</li> <li>Simulation/Verification of the designed SW or VHDL components using appropriate tool environment</li> <li>Design, verification and validation of demonstrators for future spacecraft missions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal requirements:</strong><br /> Excellent communication and teamwork skills</p> <p><strong><em>Severely disabled applicants are given special status if they are equally qualified taken into account.</em></strong></p> <p><strong>Required Studies</strong><br /> Informatics at least a Master’s / Diploma / Degree degree<br /> or<br /> Engineering at least Master's / Diploma / Degree degree</p> <p><strong>Linguistic proficiency</strong><br /> German will be of advantage<br /> Business fluent English</p> <p><strong>Required Experience</strong><br /> Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills<br /> Experience with SoC, FPGA or/and GPU acceleration for AI<br /> Experience with SW/HW parallelism, and asynchronous processing</p> <p><strong>IT</strong><br /> Experience with embedded systems, and real-time OS<br /> Excellent programming skills of Embedded C/C++</p> <p><strong>Required expertise</strong><br /> Good understanding of Deep Learning workloads and processing requirements<br /> Good understanding of design, training and validation of machine learning techniques for tasks<br /> such as prediction, classification, semantic segmentation, and object detection<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Legal:&nbsp;</strong>EU or Nato country passport required.
