<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>To design, develop and deliver ATS competence-based training and assessments using innovative instructional style and techniques in accordance with the regulatory requirements to support ongoing operational requirements and targets</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Provide subject matter expertise in the design and development of competence-based training programmes and assessments including simulation training and classroom training</li> <li>Adopt innovative instructional methodology and learning strategies for optimal delivery of competence-based training programmes and assessments</li> <li>Conduct assessments to holistically assess the integrated practical performance of the students and simultaneously evaluate individual performance criteria using the tools provided in the assessment plan</li> <li>Collate assessment results and report on the progress against objectives ensuring areas of development and recommended remedial actions are discussed with the students</li> <li>Conduct ELP testing as an Operational Expat (OPE) in accordance with ELP Training Organisation Operational Manual</li> <li>Consult with respective colleagues on air traffic management course programmes for inclusion to aviation radiotelephony training programmes</li> <li>Develop and maintain air traffic management developmental frameworks to ensure all trainings needs are effectively addressed</li> <li>Assist the Training Facility management with design and delivery of other training programmes as required</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of the local / international ANSP procedures, practices, legislation and regulations</li> <li>Maintain the ATS Instructor Train the Trainer designated Examiner endorsements current in accordance with GCAA regulatory requirements</li> <li>Advise and guide the Training Center management in the conduct and administration of air traffic management training programmes as required</li> <li>Perform any additional responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time to meet operational requirements across the facility, company and contracts</li> <li>Safety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Educational Qualification:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Higher secondary school certificate required. Diploma preferred</li> <li>ICAO English Proficiency Level 4, preferably Level 5</li> <li>Must have held / hold ICAO approved ratings in Aerodrome Control, Approach Control Procedural and/or Surveillance, Area Control Procedural and/or Surveillance</li> <li>Must have held / hold OJTI and/or Examiner endorsements</li> <li>Preferably have attended a Train the Trainer (Classroom Instructional Techniques) course</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5 years’ operational and training experience in ANS establishment(s)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Special Technical & Interpersonal Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Arabic preferred</li> <li>IT proficiency including use of MS Office</li> <li>Knowledge of the following required:</li> <li>ATS competence-based training and assessment requirements</li> <li>ANS regulations</li> <li>ICAO SARPs</li> <li>Simulation training equipment</li> <li>Safety Management</li> <li>Legal, Regulatory & Quality Compliance</li> <li>License & Certification</li> <li>Examination & Assessment</li> <li>Training Planning</li> <li>Training Design & Delivery</li> <li>Document & Recordkeeping</li> </ul>
