About this role
<p>We are seeking a <strong>Charter Manager</strong> to lead and grow our charter aviation business in Papua New Guinea. This role is key to building strong partnerships, securing new charter contracts (especially in the resources sector), and ensuring smooth service delivery for our clients.</p> <p>The Charter Manager will play a hands-on role in contract management, business development, market analysis, and operational coordination, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.</p> <p><strong>KEY RELATIONSHIPS</strong></p> <ul> <li>External – Maintain external relations and strong communication lines with stakeholders/contractors, e.g. New Mont Ltd, St Barbara Ltd etc,</li> <li>Internal – Comprises of the Commercial team; Customer Service, Training, Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management teams; Operations, IT and Finance teams to ensure communication of customer needs and follow up actions are taken up promptly.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Do?</strong><br /> - Manage Contracts: Oversee existing contracts, ensure compliance with aviation regulations, and handle renewals or amendments<br /> - Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, negotiate deals, and secure charter contracts with corporate and government clients.<br /> - Market Research: Analyze PNG’s charter aviation industry, trends, competitors, and pricing strategies to expand market presence.<br /> - Service Delivery: Ensure smooth execution of charter flights, ground handling, and logistics while maintaining client satisfaction.<br /> - Performance & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (on-time performance, profitability, efficiency) and present reports to senior management.<br /> - Safety & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, audits, and ensure adherence to CASA PNG rules and company safety standards.</p> <p><strong>What We’re Looking?</strong><br /> - For Experience: 5–10 years in aviation, charter services, or contract management.
