<p style="text-align: justify;"><b>About the role </b></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The King’s Helicopter Flight (TKHF) consists of a small team of pilots and ground support, providing the highest standard of helicopter service to Members of the Royal Family on official engagements.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">We are expanding and seeking an additional, skilled and professional Helicopter Pilot in Command to join our dedicated team of pilots and ground support staff.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Joining the team, you will undertake the role of Pilot-in-Command and also Co-Pilot as a member of a multi-pilot crew.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">You will be responsible for the planning and safe execution of flights and duties in accordance with TKHF Operations Manual.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">In addition to your flying duties, you will undertake management tasks and other administrative duties in support of the Director of Flight Operations.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Employment is subject to successful completion of a probationary period which will include Line Training. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Working Hours</b></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">You'll work on average, five days per week Monday to Sunday in accordance with our Flight Time Limitation Scheme. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Flexibility is essential as you will be required to work weekends, overnights, public holidays and undertake travel across the UK and abroad as necessary.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">You will be required to live within a reasonable distance of RAF Odiham – within 1:30 hours.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Essential Criteria</b>:</p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">With extensive flying experience in multi-engine helicopters, you will hold:</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"> - A valid UK ATPL (H). Applicants with a UK CPL (H) with current Instrument Rating will also be considered.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> - A UK Class 1 medical (no OML)</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> - A valid UK Passport and possess the legal right to work in the UK</p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">An AW139 type rating and Corporate/VVIP experience are highly desirable.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">As a natural collaborator, you have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills and are confident liaising with a wide range of people.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">You are a sound team player who understands the importance of trust, mutual support and integrity.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">You maintain a very high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as required by the Royal Household.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">With exceptional levels of attention to detail and time management, you are capable of planning accurate flight plans and are driven to operate consistently to the highest standard.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Your strong organisational, problem solving and multi-tasking skills mean that you can always think ahead and act proactively. You display high levels of initiative and leadership. </li> <li style="text-align: justify;">You support and promote an open and honest safety culture, practise sound CRM and ensure risks are reduced to as low as reasonably practicable. </li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Benefits </b></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">We know that to deliver our best work; we need to feel at our best.
