About this role
EASA Decisions 2009/006/R and 2009/007/R issued in March 2009 amended existing Acceptable Means of Compliance material of Part M and Part 145 to account for Fuel System Safety Issues. This included organisations acting under these parts being required to undertake extensive staff and management training programmes. This course is designed to satisfy the Phase 2 training requirements of both EASA Decisions. Uniquely, it is developed by a team led by a member of the JAA group assigned to assist in the investigation of Fuel Tank System Safety related events. Notably this includes the TWA800 accident in 1996, and the subsequent development and implementation of International and European Requirements relating to the issue. Covering the wide range of topics required by the amendments, from the investigation of historical events driving the legislation, to its practical applications ensuring the continued airworthiness of affected aircraft, the course aims to succinctly and clearly communicate a complex and dynamic subject. <br />Content <br /> <br />Learning Objectives: To familiarize candidates with the elements of fuel system safety issues including its language, history and practical considerations.
