<p><strong>Head of Compliance</strong></p> <p><strong>National Police Air Service (NPAS)</strong></p> <p><strong>Location – Wakefield, West Yorkshire &nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary - (Subject to negotiation dependent on qualification and experience)</strong></p> <p>West Yorkshire Police is the lead body in a national collaboration of Home Office Forces delivering air support across England and Wales as the National Police Air Service (NPAS).&nbsp; As part of our commitment to delivering a world-class service we are now looking to recruit a Head of Compliance reporting directly to the Accountable Manager/Chief Operating Officer.</p> <p>An operating regime founded on JAR-OPS 3 principles, this new role within NPAS has been created to ensure a compliant operation which maintains a safe and compliant delivery, with a culture to match. This is an excellent opportunity to provide support to the Accountable Manager and Chief Operating Officer in delivering the service in compliance with current and future aviation legislation with particular focus on quality and safety management systems.</p> <p>Part of the Senior Management Team, this post-holder will be responsible for those functions and line management associated with the regulatory requirements to have&nbsp; Safety and Quality Management Systems (SMS &amp; QMS), as well as meeting the Lead Policing Body’s obligations under Health, Safety and Environmental legislation (HS&amp;E), Accident Prevention, Flight Safety Systems and Estates Management.</p> <p>At the heart of this role will be embedding a Just Culture, throughout the wider organisation, and not just within traditional flying and maintenance areas of our business.
