Product Development Manager- Airside Operations

<p>&nbsp;<br /> <strong>Purpose</strong></p> <p>To develop and Implement the new products and service portfolio for dnata Airside Operations to support the delivery of departmental plans and targets.</p> <p><strong>Deploy</strong></p> <p>Accountable for the distribution volumes, stock control and replacement of all IT related mobile/Static equipment in Airside operational areas.</p> <p><strong>Lead</strong></p> <p>Manage and maintain the product portfolio for Airside Operations focusing on enhancing existing, or developing new products and services. Manage the design and implementation of new products (e.g. gathering requirements, business case, sign-off process, testing and training). Prepare and lead regular product development meetings with Management Team, in order to review and agree solutions.</p> <p><strong>Execute</strong></p> <p>Evaluate operational processes and identify potential improvements to existing products and services for Airport Operations with a strong focus on capacity and infrastructure constrained areas.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Assess, identify and recommend cost effective solutions to major areas of operational risk in the context of continued growth in next 3-5 years; prepare scenarios and business cases for business improvements.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> With Project Specialist, I.T and Business Support, develop product / service design specifications and build prototypes or trials. Co-ordinate all in-house testing of new products/ services, through proof of concept (POC), ahead of full implementation. Benchmark or identify trends in the market in terms of Airside related products and services. In collaboration with BS and P &amp;L, source, identify and initiate discussions with associated third party vendors.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Act as primary representative to dnata Facilities for all airport construction / design programmes for Airside Operations, to ensure all DIA facilities meet the department’s operational requirements. Provide direction to stakeholders on critical airport expansion projects and feedback to Management Team on progress, risks and issues. Accountable for the operational readiness, fit out and agreed sign off for all Airside operational facilities.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Work with Customer Relations Manager to support external / internal communications on new or modified products and services.<br /> Ensures the safety of staff, by support and development of a culture where all the people working in Airport Operations department possess the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely, feel respected and are engaged in helping everyone stay safe. Role model for the desired safe behaviours, wear the appropriate PPE, lead with safety, seek opportunities to celebrate successes and achievements and challenge others when risks are seen.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong><br /> &nbsp;<br /> Qualifications:<br /> Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)&nbsp; Preferably in Industrial Engineering or education in scientific/ commercial discipline/ Operations Research.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Experience<br /> 8+ yrs relevant industry experience preferable with a major airline or ground handling company. Experience in Project Management.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Knowledge/skills:<br /> Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Baggage systems/Aircraft turnaround and operational procedures.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Advanced knowledge of process improvement, business planning and operational Analysis.
