<p><strong>Job Purpose: </strong></p> <p>Responsible for the provision of in-depth safety data analysis for the generation of trends including for Human Factors, safety performance indicators (SPIs), safety performance targets (SPTs) and data driven incentives to advise and assist line managers, across the Emirates Group, in ongoing safety and risk management and continuous improvements in safety processes.</p> <p><strong>2. <u>JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES </u></strong></p> <ol> <li>Conduct in-depth analysis of safety data to make recommendations for change to safety performance indicators (SPIs) and safety performance targets (SPTs). Utilise trend information so that line managers across the Emirates Group can review and adjust their safety and risk management processes.</li> <li>Research and prioritise the analysis of reactive investigations, audits and safety concerns to identify issues and provide scientific, mathematical and Human Factors support for the formulation of response / recommendation programmes related to the issues. Include a ‘closed loop’ feedback process to provide a measurable indicator of success and overall impact, thereby ensuring an effective and efficient reduction in related risk.</li> <li>Liaise with the managers of safety related disciplines throughout the Emirates Group to ensure safety dashboards and other analytical productions provide relevant risk-based information in a suitable format for the line operational management to use in highlighting and resolving safety deficiencies, advising line managers when adverse trends are noted.</li> <li>Advise Safety Managers on the suitability of risk assessment tools for conducting the varied risk assessments linked to reported issues, provide assistance, guidance and / or conduct the risk assessment process in liaison with the subject matter experts.</li> <li>Provide system ‘administrator’ control and oversight of the safety data system(s) (e.g. SiD etc), maintaining the system(s) to the highest level required for efficient safety management, compliance with GCAA regulations for safety management systems (SMS) and the Emirates Group SMS Manual, including software updates, enhancements and modifications through close liaison with EG-IT and the systems development team. Undertake the required liaison and technical processes to ensure that the safety data systems can extract and use required information from other company and external data / IT systems.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Human Factors, Psychology, or Engineering preferred.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Certificates of training or equivalent certificate on Safety Management System (SMS), IOSH/NEBOSH would be advantageous.</li> <li>Proven experience as an analyst working with Safety Data Systems.</li> <li>Business domain knowledge preferably of Safety Analysis.</li> <li>Competency in statistical and mathematical modelling techniques.</li> <li>Should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English.</li> </ul> <p><u>Experience:</u> </p> <ul> <li>5+ years experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the airline industry.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in data manipulation, process consultation, project management and problem solving preferred.</li> </ul> <p><u>Knowledge/skills</u>:</p> <ul> <li>Analytical skills and the ability to perform statistical analysis of various business situations for operational safety.</li> <li>Advanced competency in MS-Office, database programming and exposure to office automation environment.</li> </ul> <p><u>Safety Sensitive Role</u>:</p> <p>No</p> <p><strong>Salary & Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
