Vice President Catering Supply Chain

<p><strong>Job Purpose:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>You will have responsibility to lead and implement the supply chain strategy for dnata’s global catering business to maximise synergies between all International Catering divisions, as well as enhancing procurement synergies with Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC). This will include overseeing the planning and implementation of comprehensive systems and processes to ensure supplies risks are minimised and unit costs rationalised, and that dnata’s profit aspirations, revenue growth and market share are maximised.</p> <p><strong>Primary responsibilities for the role are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create, direct, implement and oversee the development of a supply chain strategy for dnata’s catering business globally, ensuring optimum alignment with wider dnata objectives, budgets and timeframes, and taking ultimate responsibility for the full supply chain.</li> <li>Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally, ensuring that the supply chain strategy is effectively integrated into the operations.</li> <li>Lead the development and implementation of best practise supply chain systems across dnata’s catering operations, ensuring measurable improvements in productivity and utilization are achieved.&nbsp;</li> <li>Influence and collaborate with Heads of Operation and CEOs of global businesses, to improve overall supply chain unit cost, evidencing year on year cost improvements and driving a culture of quality and profitability.</li> <li>Responsible for actively managing all catering related spend, providing global oversight whilst, ensuring flexibility and accountability for local decision making.&nbsp; Drive cost reduction by implementing savings programmes within the global operations.</li> <li>Develop and implement forecasting methodologies, processes and tools to drive global sourcing strategy, to continually model catering supply chain costs and ensure they are optimised at all times. Seek, analyse and implement opportunities expected from existing Catering entities, new acquisitions and changes to supplier landscape.</li> <li>Establish and oversee global contract management processes and implement a Supplier Relationship Management framework, in order to leverage cost savings and technological expertise.</li> <li>Lead implementation of dnata’s Corprate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by ensuring supplier base adheres to accepted environmental, quality and regulatory norms of a leading global catering brand.</li> <li>Direct and lead negotiation strategies and programmes for key spend categories. Establish strong working relationships with strategic partners often involving President / Chairman of each organisation to create value for both entities.</li> <li>Provide leadership and support for the enterprise-wide innovation efforts relating to supplier engagement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)&nbsp; MBA or equivalent preferred</li> <li>12+ yrs experience in a large size multi-national organisation leading and driving supply chain change initiatives. A recognised industry expert with in-depth understanding all aspects of supply chain management in a service industry preferably in airline catering, cargo handling or FMCG</li> <li>Understanding of emerging concepts and trends in spend management and end to end supply chain management</li> <li>Ability to influence and negotiate effectively&nbsp; with suppliers, colleagues and peers on good supply chain management practices</li> <li>Good understanding of catering, FMCG supply chain processes and global procurement programmes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits:</strong></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
