<p>Norwegian is currently seeking an experienced and highly qualified person for the position of Deputy Manager Training for our latest AOC, Norwegian Air UK. This person will report to NUK’s Manager Training. The position will be based at our offices at London Gatwick Airport. Apart from being one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, we believe that Norwegian's high performance, high pace work environment is one the most inspiring you can work in.</p> <p>This 100% administrative position is based in London Gatwick, UK. NUK is looking for an individual with broad operational background. Strong knowledge of simulator training would be advantageous. The successful candidate requires a solid background in IT as well as experience in the drafting of technical documents and operational manuals. The duties and responsibilities of the Deputy Manager Training shall include and not be limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring instructor suitability for NUK training programs, instructor scheduling issues and instructors pilot currency requirements.</li> <li>Supporting the company in the development of all necessary new and updated courseware.</li> <li>Ensure through oversight that NUK’s partners deliver crew training and associated activities which meet the criteria and standards as defined under agreements for contracted activities.</li> <li>Report any training problems or conflicts to Manager Training.</li> <li>With the Manager Training arrange meetings for simulator instructors and the Line Training Captains.</li> <li>With the Training Manager, ensure that the Operations Manual Part D -Training (OM-D) kept current and updated.</li> <li>Ensure that all pilots are optimally scheduled for their recurrent training.</li> <li>Perform annual supervision and standardisation checks on all instructors and examiners.</li> <li>To manage and lead a team of Training Coordinators.</li> </ul> <p>You are required to have the following experience / skills:</p> <ul> <li>Fluent in English (both written and spoken)</li> <li>Good interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Proven strong administrative and organizational skills.</li> <li>Enjoy working in a team</li> <li>Safety Management System Knowledge</li> <li>Good IT skills</li> </ul>
