<p>Aeroprofessional, on behalf of one of Europe’s leading and most renowned Cargo operators, are now recruiting for a Deputy Safety Manager. Operating throughout the airlines extensive European network.</p> <p>The position offers a competitive remuneration package.</p> <p>You will be tasked with representing the Company on safety matters, i.e. meetings & conferences with external national and international bodies such as the CAA, ISASI, ESASI, AAIB</p> <ul> <li>To manage and supervise the Safety Department in support of and in the absence of the Safety Manager</li> <li>To be able to liaise and develop a constructive relationship with the airline’s directors, post holders and senior managers as well as senior managers within other the clients businesses</li> <li>To attend meetings in support of and on behalf of the Safety Manager</li> <li>Reviewing, processing, actioning, monitoring to conclusion and closing all safety occurrence reports thereby ensuring that events are investigated and the appropriate closing action is undertaken;</li> <li>Reviewing, processing and actioning of Crew Fatigue Reports and Hotel Feedback Forms;</li> <li>The reporting of mandatory occurrences to the UK Civil Aviation Authority and the Health and Safety Executive;</li> <li>Acting as the primary liaison between the client and its third party suppliers for occurrence reporting;</li> <li>Acting as the administrator for the occurrence reporting database;</li> <li>Acting as the primary liaison with the clients IT systems and the third party supplier to ensure the occurrence reporting database is performing correctly and any system issues are promptly resolved</li> <li>Carrying out and supporting line managers when they have to conduct investigations into accidents, incidents and hazardous occurrences including the writing of reports, when required;</li> <li>Undertaking Safety Department Self-Audits;</li> <li>Liaising with external organisations, including other THE CLIENTS entities, the UK Civil Aviation Authority, Health and Safety Executive, Local Authorities as required;</li> <li>Developing the clients safety management system in conjunction with the Safety Manager;</li> <li>Promoting the safety management system;</li> <li>Undertaking statistical analysis of safety data, including crew fatigue reports as well as health and safety, to identify operational and / or fatigue hazards, potentially hazardous conditions and adverse trends that need to be reported to the departmental Safety Action Groups and / or Safety Review Board;</li> <li>To analyse data from external sources, such as the IATA STEADES programme, other airlines, to benchmark safety performance and to identify operational and / or fatigue hazards, potentially hazardous conditions and adverse trends that need to be reported to the departmental Safety Action Groups and / or Safety Review Board</li> <li>Using statistical analysis to provide data to establish the airline’s Safety Performance Indicators and monitor performance against the SPIs</li> <li>Facilitating Safety Action Group meetings and in the absence of the Safety Manager Safety Review Board meetings;</li> <li>Maintaining safety documentation within his areas of responsibility;</li> <li>Managing and developing the clients Emergency Response Manual, procedures and capability on behalf of the Safety Manager, including organising emergency exercises;</li> <li>To be the primary person who acts as the Safety Department’s representative in the clients Emergency Response centre</li> <li>Ensuring all the data and information contained in the Safety Department’s Forms is current and up to date and making any amendments to the forms that are required</li> <li>Contributing to safety publications;</li> <li>Developing and undertaking safety training;</li> <li>Any other tasks as directed by the Safety Manager.</li> </ul> <p>You will need to have an EU Passport.   This position is a Permanent Direct Hire</p>
