<p><strong>Location:</strong> Caribbean Islands <strong>Salary up to </strong><strong>$</strong><strong>90</strong><strong>,000</strong><strong>* </strong><strong>P.A</strong><strong>.</strong><strong>TAX-FREE</strong></p> <p><strong>Type of contract:</strong> Permanent <strong>Starting date</strong>: 01st January 2017</p> <p><strong>Client:</strong> A well-established regional airline based in the beautiful Caribbean Islands known as the paradise for tourists. The airline operates scheduled service on domestic and regional routes.</p> <p> </p> <p><u><strong>Remuneration:</strong> </u><strong>U</strong><strong>p to </strong><strong>$</strong><strong>90</strong><strong>,000</strong> <strong>P</strong><strong>er </strong><strong>A</strong><strong>nnum</strong><strong> Tax-Free; </strong>Two Bedroom Apartment and a Vehicle for the duration of the contract.</p> <p> </p> <p><u><b>Duties and Responsibilities of Engineering Manager:</b></u></p> <p>1. The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organisation has:-</p> <p>a) Facilities appropriate to the planned work.</p> <p>b) Office accommodation appropriate to the management of the planned work.</p> <p>c) A working environment appropriate to the maintenance tasks being undertaken.</p> <p>d) Storage facilities for parts, tools, equipment and materials.</p> <p>e) Sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the work being performed.</p> <p>f) Tools, equipment and materials to perform the planned tasks</p> <p>g) All necessary maintenance data as required by Part 145.111.</p> <p>h) For notifying the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge which require his attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards.</p> <p>i) Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance by establishing a programme of training and continuation training using :-</p> <ul> <li>Internal and external sources.</li> <li>On-the-job instruction and evaluation.</li> <li>Examination/testing as necessary.</li> </ul> <p>2. The Engineering Manager ensures that maintenance procedures are established and published within the organisation, to achieve good maintenance practices and compliance with TCI CAA requirements and for establishing a Quality System for the organisation to ensure that work is accomplished to the highest standards of airworthiness and workmanship.</p> <p>3. The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance is correctly certified and that records of maintenance carried out are retained safely and securely for the statutory period. Unless previously reported by the Operator the Engineering Manager is responsible for reporting to the manufacturer and to TCI CAA any condition of the aircraft (or a component), which could hazard safety.</p> <p>4 Ensuring that all sub-contract orders are correctly detailed and that the requirements of the contract/order are fulfilled in respect of inspection and quality control.</p> <p>5. Coordinating with the operator maintenance controller with respect to maintenance planning.</p> <p>6. Coordinating with flight operation with respect to aircraft maintenance status and availability.</p> <p>7. Provide leadership and direction to all staff under his immediate control</p> <p>8. Selection of Engineering and Maintenance contractors IAW the parameters defined by the OTAR Part 39.</p> <p>9. Ensure aircraft are release for service in an airworthy and acceptable condition.</p> <p>10. Coordinate with other department managers with the organization to achieve the objective and aims of the accountable manager.</p> <p>11. Continued compliance with all applicable Overseas Territories Aviation Regulations (OTAR) and the requirements of aircraft fleet maintenance and its Maintenance Organization requirements.</p> <p>12. Enforce company drug and alcohol policy.</p> <p><u><strong>Requirements</strong><strong>:</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years work experience as Engineering Manager for a company under either Transport Canada, the FAA, CASA or EASA oversight.</li> <li>Have working experience or be familiar with transport category regional aircraft</li> <li>Holder of Maintenance Engineers Licence</li> <li>English language to a workable business level</li> </ul> <p><b>To apply:</b> Please send your resume + Maintenance Licence for review and further information. </p>
