About this role
<p><strong>As a UK CAA / EASA Form 4 Holder, you will be the senior manager responsible for all aspects of managing the Design Organisation and will report directly to the Chief Executives/Managing Directors. You will have ultimate responsibility for the Design Assurance System and the satisfactory accomplishment of all design work carried out by the DOA.</strong></p> <p><strong>Skillset to include: Knowledge and understanding of the certification requirements of:<br /> - EASA Part 21J,<br /> - CS 25 - Large Aeroplanes,<br /> - CS 27 & CS 29 - Small and Large Rotorcraft, <br /> - Experience of the design and certification of aircraft changes, and the working of a CAA or EASA approved Design Organisation is essential.</strong></p> <p><strong>You will ideally already be a Form 4 Holder at a Part21J organisation, here in the UK. if you are looking to work in an smaller-team environment, this could be the opportunity for you.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Role Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Strong background from working in a Design Organisation environment</strong></li> <li><strong>Being acceptable to a regulatory authority i.e., previous EASA Form 4 Holder</strong></li> <li><strong>Full understanding of EASA Part 21J requirements, and knowledge of EASA CS 25, CS 27 and CS 29 certification requirements (CS25 essential)</strong></li> <li><strong>A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an airworthiness signatory</strong></li> <li><strong>Previous experience in the role as a CVE signatory for structures, avionics and electrical systems, cabin safety, hydromechanical systems, or structures (1</strong></li> <li><strong>Fluent in English, French desirable</strong></li> <li><strong>Able to provide evidence of previous active participation in design and certification processes, and component or equipment development and qualification programmes performed in accordance with EASA Part 21J requirements</strong></li> <li><strong>Previous experience of working within a UK MAA DAOS system with knowledge of military certification requirements</strong></li> <li><strong>Undergone DAOS training.</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience of mentoring and providing technical leadership to small teams working in design and certification</strong></li> <li><strong>Strong management and interpersonal skills and able to liaise directly with customers or the regulatory authority (EASA) at a technical level</strong></li> <li><strong>Relevant technical qualifications including an apprenticeship, further educational qualifications such as a degree, or specific training with appropriate discipline specific knowledge</strong></li> </ul>
