<p style="text-align: justify;">The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is a government-funded tertiary institution in Hong Kong. It offers programmes at various levels including Doctorate, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. It has a full-time academic staff strength of around 1,200. The total annual consolidated expenditure budget of the University is in excess of HK$7.4 billion. <br /> <br /> <strong>INTERDISCIPLINARY DIVISION OF AERONAUTICAL AND AVIATION ENGINEERING<br /> <br /> Chief Training Instructor / Training Instructor (several posts) </strong>(Ref. 20102104-IE)<br /> <br /> In line with the strategic development of the University and to lead the development of the aeronautical and aviation engineering discipline in teaching and research activities, the Interdisciplinary Division of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering was established in the Faculty of Engineering in July 2016. The Division currently offers two degree programmes including the 2-year full-time top-up BEng (Hons) in Air Transport Engineering and the 4-year full-time BEng (Hons) in Aviation Engineering. Applications are now invited from academics/industrial practitioners who are actively involved in aviation engineering to fill the vacancies.<br /> <br /> The appointees will be required to:</p> <p>a. formulate strategies and participate in HKAR147 related teaching and administrative activities;<br /> <br /> b. develop, lead and teach aircraft maintenance, technical services and engineering project subjects in accordance with the HKAR147 curriculum; <br /> <br /> c. undertake HKAR147 practical training course design, development and administration; and<br /> <br /> d. perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Division or his delegates.?</p> <p>Applicants should:<br /> <br /> a. have a higher degree or a good honours degree in Aeronautics, Aviation, Mechanical Engineering or other related disciplines;<br /> <br /> b. possess HKAR-66 aircraft maintenance licence endorsement in B1 category;<br /> <br /> c. have at least eight years of work experience in civil aviation maintenance environment, preferably with experience in maintenance training; and<br /> <br /> d. have a good command of both written and spoken English.<br /> <br /> Applicants with less post-qualification experience will be considered for the post of Training Instructor. <br /> <br /> <strong>Remuneration and Conditions of Service</strong><br /> <br /> A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
