<p>We are delighted to be supporting our client with their search for a Simulator Technician.<br /> <br /> Based in the UK, less than 30 minutes south of London Gatwick airport, our client has 25 years of experience in flight training, flight simulation engineering and aviation expertise.<br /> <br /> Our client is UK CAA/EASA accredited and offers pilot training courses for both individuals looking to start their commercial aviation careers and airlines seeking to establish reliable, best in class pilot pipelines.<br /> <br /> The Simulator Technician will be based at Burgess Hill and will report direct to the Training Centre Maintenance Manager (TCMM). The SimTech role involves day to day running and proactive maintenance of up to four commercial Full Flight Simulators (FFS) based at our Burgess Hill Training Facility. The SimTech will be required, in the execution of their duties, to comply with regulatory requirements and work in accordance with the procedures applicable to their tasks.<br /> <br /> Any potential for non-compliance or the introduction of a hazard or risk will need to be reported to the TCMM, as well as recommendations for improvements to procedure or process.<br /> <br /> The SimTech is also required to make themselves familiar with, and comply with, all Health and Safety procedures and complete all courses in a reasonable time when requested. The SimTech will familiarize themselves with risk assessments, method statements, COSHH procedures.</p> <p>The SimTech role involves working a variable work pattern which may be changed at any time to meet the Company and customer needs. Currently this is a 12-hour shift on a 4 on 4 off pattern. Flexibility in the approach to working is a key requirement for this role.</p> <p><strong>Role Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 2 years' experience in a flight simulator environment</li> <li>Experience in Performing preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.</li> <li>Able to Carry out minor repairs in the workshop to include soldering and crimping</li> <li>Able to Perform pre-flight checks prior to the day's operations</li> <li>Experience of working on Boeing and/or Airbus simulators. (Advantageous)</li> <li>Experience of CAE, FSI and/or Sim Industries, TRU, L3 Training Devices (Advantageous)</li> </ul>
